IMU Art Competition - "Colours of Life"
Just a little poem here which I intent to send in for the upcoming IMU Art competetion for poetry (If there's still a section on poetry). The theme, "Colours Of Life" (They never come up with anything interesting, it's always boring cliche topics. Last year's theme was "Metamorphorsis", so you should get the drift) It's nothing much, just random images in my boring life (some are even imagined). So hang on there, don't fall asleep.
Life
A pinch of
Salt
Rubbing on a sore wound
My grandma’s charcoaled
Teeth
Brimming a smile
More radiant than the
Summer’s sunset
Streaks of bleached
Meteors
Christened through
The pitch darkness
The swing of a chestnut
Bat
A lightning homerun
A thousand cheers
The tears glistening
From sad swollen
Eyes
The pale face of
Rejection
The throbbing of a
Heart
Rejoiced
Blushing through the cerulean
Tenderness
The smells of royal
Lavenders
The sweetness of tanned
Honey
A painting in the azure
Sky
A portrait in my likeness
The jade-like lucid
Dream
Of lilies and of bees
Clasped within the verdant
Leaves
A cocoon
Of flying kaleidoscope
An untrodden life
Yet to be stung by the salt
Yet to savor the honey
